The Caravan of the Breath is an inner journey as much as a geographical journey. Inspired by the ancient caravans that crisscrossed the desert, it invites us to reconnect with a broader, slower pace, where body, breath and spirit move forward together.
From Zagora, we enter the desert for a gradual immersion. Each participant has their own camel, a patient and silent companion. It is never mandatory to ride a dromedary: everyone is free to walk, to go up or down according to their rhythm, their body and their need of the moment. The caravan moves forward together, respecting each person’s uniqueness.
This immersion is not a Sufi dance retreat in the strict sense. It is a space of lived spirituality, mixing meditation, conscious walking, Sufi chants, Sufi percussions, Sufi lyrics, mybeing sacred and yoga dervish, guided by Rana Gorgani.
The presence of Gnawa musicians will come to support certain times, like a vibrant memory of the earth, reminding us that rhythm is a prayer in motion.
The desert then becomes a silent master.

Desert climate of Zagora in April
Location : Zagora
The month of April offers ideal conditions for an immersion in the desert of Zagora. It is a privileged period, before the great summer heat, when the climate naturally supports walking, body practices and life in bivouac.

The program is voluntarily flexible and can evolve according to the rhythm of the group, natural conditions and the accuracy of the moment.
In the desert, the tent is not just a shelter: it is an art of living.
Erected then folded, it reminds us that nothing is meant to be possessed, only inhabited for a time.
The tent protects without enclosing. It lets the breath, the light, the sounds of the night pass through. One sleeps there close to the earth, carried by its warmth, under a sky that remains the true roof. At dawn, it disassembles without leaving a trace, like a discreet teaching: to live lightly, to pass without marking, to receive without retaining.
Shared by two, the tent becomes a space for listening and mutual respect, a place where silence is peopled with presence, where gestures become simpler, more just. She invites to self-emptying, sobriety, attention to others and to oneself.
In this nomadic habitat, every night is an offering.
The tent teaches us that the essential is not built over time, but in the quality of presence.
Temperatures are mild to warm, generally between 22 and 30 °C. The heat is dry and bright, rarely overwhelming, and well suited to a slow progression in a caravan, with breaks and rest times. The light is ample, the skies vast, and a breeze can sometimes cool the atmosphere.
Nights in the desert are cool, with temperatures fluctuating between 10 and 15°C, sometimes a little lower at dawn. A warm outfit is therefore necessary for evenings and sleep. Nights in tents remain comfortable thanks to thick mattresses and blankets, in a peaceful and enveloping atmosphere.
The air is dry, the sky generally clear, offering clear and starry nights, conducive to rest and introspection.
Warm and lively days, cool and restorative nights, and a climate that fully supports the experience of caravan, bivouac and indoor immersion.
