Rana Gorgani invites you to celebrate the New Year in the heart of Morocco, in the sunny city of Zagora, gateway to the desert. This one-week spiritual retreat, entirely dedicated to the exploration of Sufi dance and sacred songs, offers you a deep immersion in the mystical world of Gnawa musicians.
Hosting
A traditional riad has been entirely privatized to offer you a peaceful and authentic setting, conducive to meditation and spiritual practice. The stay is offered on a full-board basis, with vegetarian meals carefully prepared to nourish the body while respecting the spirit of the retreat.

We recommend arriving at Ouarzazate airport. From there, you can take a bus to Zagora. This journey will allow you to discover the magnificent landscapes of Morocco before arriving at your destination.
Accommodation and Location
Your stay will take place in a beautiful authentic riad, privatized exclusively for this Sufi dance retreat. This riad in Zagora offers a peaceful and inspiring setting, ideal for recharging your batteries. The riad has a swimming pool where you can relax between sessions, and the double rooms, to be shared, are equipped with private bathrooms for your comfort.
The riad offers a large space specially designed for dance, allowing an immersive and deep practice of Sufi dance. The interior decoration, typically Moroccan, creates a warm and exotic atmosphere, conducive to meditation and introspection.
Each meal is carefully prepared with fresh local produce, offering healthy and delicious vegetarian cuisine. This exceptional setting will allow you to live an authentic and enriching experience, in perfect harmony with the spirit of the retreat.
Program
Morning:
Sufi Dance Techniques : Learning movements and techniques specific to Sufi dance for anchoring and a deep connection to oneself.
Afternoon :
Practical : Practical sessions of Sufi dance, integration of the morning teachings and work on personal expression through dance.
Evening :
Music and dance : Evenings hosted by Gnawa musicians, where you can let yourself be carried away by the captivating rhythms.
Meditation : Meditation sessions to end the day gently and in introspection.
Presence of Gnawa Musicians from Zagora
One of the highlights of this retreat will be the exceptional presence of Gnawa musicians who came directly from the city of Zagora. The Gnawa, heirs to an ancestral mystical and musical tradition, will bring a unique spiritual dimension to your experience. Originally from the Zagora region, these musicians are the guardians of a culture rich in history, deeply rooted in healing and celebration rituals.
Their captivating music, mixing percussion, songs and traditional instruments such as the guembri, will plunge you into a collective trance, promoting meditation and spiritual elevation. Their presence is not limited to musical performances; it is a true invitation to immerse yourself in the mystical universe of the Gnawa, where each note and each rhythm carry profound meanings.
