An inner pilgrimage in Konya

In the heart of Anatolia, Konya is the cradle of the mevlevi order and the eternal home of Rumi. Every year, on 17 December, the city resounds to the rhythm of the songs and spirals of the whirling dervishes who commemorate Shab-e Arus, the «Night of the Mystical Nuces», moment of union with the Beloved.

In this atmosphere of fervor and beauty, Rana Gorgani invites you to experience an exceptional stay. You will be guided in the practice of the Sufidance, immersed in the heart of ceremonies, poems and the sacred universe of the whirling dervishes.

An initiatory journey to the heart of Rûmî’s living memory, where dance becomes prayer, where each tower opens the way to the invisible, where the soul finds its origin.

The program of the stay

  • Daily teaching with Rana Gorgani: initiation to the Sufi dance and practice of the sacred step of the whirling dervishes (samâ).
  • Participation in Sufi ceremonies and evenings of the Shab-e Arus.
  • Spiritual and cultural outings in the emblematic places of Konya, notably the mausoleum of Rûmî.
  • Time for meditation and sharing, nourished by poetry and the direct experience of Sufism.

Accommodation

  • 4-star hotel located in the center of Konya, a stone’s throw from the mausoleum of Rûmî.
  • Single or twin room.
  • included full board, to live this experience without material worry.

Hotel accommodation is included in full board. All the activities and workshops of Sufi Dance will be organized according to the progress of the stay and can be adjusted according to the feasibility of the program and the planned outings.
