Symbolism of the turn: from the center to infinity

To turn is to return to the center of oneself, while opening oneself to infinity.
Each rotation evokes the spiral of life, the cosmic breath, the secret rhythm of planets and seasons.
In the dance of the whirling dervish, there is neither spectacle nor demonstration: there is an offering, an erasure. The dancer becomes an instrument of celestial music, a space where the Divine manifests itself. It is a dance of presence, a dance of disappearance.

Whirling dervish

An art of transformation

Being a whirling dervish in the 21st century

To be a dervish today is to choose a path of consciousness, freedom and beauty.

It is to carry the memory of a tradition while reinventing it.

It is turning not to flee the world, but to embrace it in its entirety.

Through my performances, my retreats and my transmissions, I invite everyone to live this inner experience of movement, to listen to the music of silence, and to feel the pure joy of the rotating breath.

The Sufi dance is a living prayer, an art of transformation. It does not seek to impress, but to awaken.

“Do not stand still at the gate of the garden of souls.
Enter the circle of dervishes,
and become yourself the turning flame. ”
