Sufi’s Saraband invites you on a mystical journey where music, poetry and Sufi dance intertwine to evoke spiritual ecstasy and the quest for the absolute. Carried by the ensemble The Modal Experience, this creation explores the deep links between Eastern musical traditions and Western baroque heritage, weaving a soundtrack where Persian modality and Baroque ornamentation meet with grace and refinement.

The public hears instruments from the Orient. The Orient is a geographical region.
There are percussions. Percussions are musical instruments on which you tap. For example drums. Musicians improvise. A dancer accompanies them.
The light is soft.
Sufi’s Saraband means the Saraband of the Sufis.
Saraband is a slow, poetic dance from ancient Europe.
Sufis are Muslim people who seek to draw closer to God.
